Obituary of William L. Ross

William L. Ross, of Mongaup Valley, NY passed away on October 23, 2022 at home. He was 80.

He was the son of the late Lydia Ross, born on December 23, 1941 in Chinchilla, PA.

William loved cars, they were his true passion that he made into his career. He started with Weiss Automotive and then went on to own and operate William L. Ross, Inc, Ross Used Cars of Mongaup Valley. When he wasn't working he enjoyed spending his time bowling, he belonged to several bowling leagues over the years. You could sometimes find him perusing the tables at local flea markets. After his retirement he spent much of his time in the warmer weather of Florida. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by his wife Jeannette whom he married on March 5, 1961; children Gerald (Grace) Ross of Arizona, William (Babette) Ross of Mongaup Valley, and Bruce (Karen) Ross of Florida; grandchildren Michelle, Zachary, Curtis and Atom Ross; and siblings Betty Beeman, Dorothy Santicchi, Marilyn Ross, Anita Ross, David and Kevin Ross; and siblings-in-law Eugene Murns (Misty), Joel Murns (Linda), Raymond Murns (Judy), and Darlene Cagel; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Henry Ross.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 12pm at Mongaup Valley United Methodist Church, 1090 State Route 17B, Mongaup Valley, NY 12762.
