Obituary of Mary Sue Green

Mary Sue Green, of White Sulphur Springs, NY, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. Mary Sue was born to Reginald and Sally Schillinger in Liberty, NY in 1935. She married Jerald Green, who predeceased her in 2019. She and Jerald owned and operated Green's General Store in White Sulphur Springs for approximately 50 years until they both retired. They lovingly raised three sons, Scott Green who predeceased them in 2013, Troy Green of Beach Lake, PA (Mary Margaret), and Todd Green of Lexington, SC (Carmen). Mary Sue was a devout congregant of the United Methodist Church in White Sulphur Springs, where she and her sister, Sally Ann Buck, were members of the church choir. She enjoyed volunteering and helping her community, but her greatest love was her family. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family including her grandson, Casey Green, his wife, Ashlee, and their children, Vaun and Wyatt, who devotedly cared for Mary Sue in their home prior to her passing. Her adoration also extended to her grandchildren, Mike Green, Matt Green, Dan Green, Dana Green, David Green, and Josh DeCarlo, as well as her great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mary Sue held a special place in her heart for her morning breakfast club friends at the Pitt Stop Cafe. A private burial service is being planned at a future date.
