Obituary of Carol A Newell

Carol A. Newell, of Monticello, NY, passed away on January 13, 2022 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center. She was 63.

She was the daughter of Harvey and Charlotte (Bivins) Hewlett, born on April 9, 1958 in Liberty, NY.

Carol worked as a switchboard operator. She was a loving and devoted grandmother who held a special place in the hearts of all her grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was to go for special dinners at the Miss Monticello Diner.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Lester; children Bonnie Cole (Lamont), Jason Newell (Catherine), Jeremy Hewlett, Sr. (Raelynn), Tiffany Newell; grandchildren Cheyenne Jones, Justin Unger, Jeremy Hewlett, Jr., Robert J. Hewlett, Zyra M. Hewlett, Alana G. Hewlett and Jackson Newell; sisters Nancy Donnolly and Charlotte Furman; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 55 St. John Street, Monticello, NY 12701.
