Jacqueline A. Pere, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center after a long illness. She was 80.  She was born October 9, 1940, in Monticello, NY, to the late Richard and Ida Mae (Skinner) DePuy

Jackie went to school in Monticello, NY.  She married Eugene Pere in April 1959.  She worked as a clerk at A&P, Great American and Shop Rite, where she retired from.  She was always complimented on her long braid, humor, and quick smile.  She enjoyed her family, friends, and gardening

In addition to her parents, Jackie is predeceased by her husband, Eugene, and her brother, Richard “Dick” DePuy.

She is survived by her children; Joseph Pere, Doreen Huebner (Gary) and Colleen Hough (Ed); her grandchildren; Caitlin (fiancé Jordan Merklin), Wade (fiancé Christina Herschel), Morgan, Lindsey, Jacquelyne and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the family at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery.

Memorials can be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
