Joann Kashuba Crandell of Monticello, NY, a former employee for Crystal Run Village of Monticello, NY, died Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at CRMC in Harris, NY. She was 66 years old. The daughter of the late Vincent Francis Kashuba and Artie Mae Agnew- Rifenberg, she was born March 9, 1954, in Montrose, PA. Joann graduated from Monticello High School and received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, NY. She is survived by her loving companion and husband of 45 years, Johnny Mack Crandell, son, Jeremy Pineda (Brenda) of Wurtsboro, NY, daughter, Jonina Crandell of Monticello, NY, step-daughter, Jonelle Bowers of Monticello, NY; four sisters, Kathleen (Gene) Crandell of Monticello, NY, Patricia (Mike) Spencer of Athens, PA, Jacqueline Blake of Corning, NY, Ardie Mae DeMellier of New Smyrna Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews; her in-laws, Shirley, Barbara, Glenda, Alander, and Lonnie. She was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Terrence. Joann went all out for the people she served as an employee of Crystal Run Village. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, jokes, and the love of her dog Tiny. Cremation arrangements were handled by Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home. Interment will be made at St. Joachim Cemetery, Meshoppen, PA at a later date. The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Pastor Roy Shaffer from The Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene for all the prayers and visits to Joann during her long illness.
