Helen Winer, of Ellenville, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016. She was 96. She was the daughter of Nathan and Jadwiga Cohn, born in Poland and raised in Rochester and Brooklyn. Helen was a graduate of Brooklyn College. She hosted The Helen Winer Show in Ellenville on her husband David Winer’s Community Access cable TV program for 30 years. She enjoyed playing the guitar around the area with her friends in the singing group, The Yentatainers, and acted in many regional theatres.
