Kathleen Mary Hitt August 20, 1957 - December 9, 2015 Kathi Hitt, of Grahamsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Monticello, NY. She was 58. She was the daughter of the late Robert Walker and Olga Folio, born on August 8, 1957 in Liberty, NY. Kathi started her career as a music teacher in Rondout Valley School and then moved on to be a supervisor for Sullivan County Dept. of Social Services. Her love for music never faded, she was a member of the Sullivan County Philharmonic and most recently a member of Callicoon Center Band. Her greatest passions were spending time at Bethel Woods, riding her motorcycle, relaxing by the pool, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Marissa Hitt and her fiancé Jeremy Stanton; Marissa's father, Howard Hitt; Kathi's best friend Paul Muino; her grand-children Phoenixx, Onyxx and Connor Stanton; her sister Lorna Koberlein; her brother-in-law Luther Hitt and his wife Gloria; her music mentor and great friend Larry Balestra; several nieces and nephews; her grand-nieces and nephews; several cousins; and a host of very special friends in Kathi's life, too many to list. Kathi is predeceased by her sister JoAnne Krieger. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 3-5pm at the funeral home with a memorial service at 5pm A celebration of Kathi's life will be held at the Woodbourne Fire House immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathi's name can be made to Callicoon Center Band, C/O Karen Casey P.O. Box 216 Youngsville, NY 12791, or a charity of one's choice.
