Nina Ziegler, of Mongaup Valley, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Liberty, NY. She was 83. She was the daughter of Issac and Balcia Finkelstein, born on September 2, 1932 in Warsaw, Poland. Nina was a holocaust survivor. Despite a hard young life she went on to be a loving wife, mother and grandmother and always made her home a welcoming place to be. Nina was also a lifetime member of Hadassah. She was the widow of her devoted and loving husband Sidney Ziegler. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children Howard J. Ziegler, Bonnie Motyka and Amy Locker; her granddaughter Claire Wirth. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 12:00noon at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Rabbi Samuel Fishbain officiating. Interment will take place following at Congregation Temple Beth-El Cemetery, White Lake, NY. Shiva will be observed at the family residence on Airport Rd in Mongaup Valley.
