Obituary of John Thomas Dertinger

John Thomas Dertinger Sr., of Loch Sheldrake, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at home with this family by his side. He was 82. He was born on February 2, 1934 in Bronx, NY to the late Jacob and Helen Dertinger. John proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife Heidemarie, at home; his 9 children: John Jr & wife Vanessa of Loch Sheldrake, Jacob & wife Terri of Woodbourne, Helen Hinkley & husband Clarence Sr of Livingston Manor, William Sr & wife Nicole of Loch Sheldrake, James & wife Tanya of NC, Heidi of Loch Sheldrake, Gabrielle of Loch Sheldrake, Jerome & wife Sandra of Loch Sheldrake, and Barbara Thompson & husband Peter of Loch Sheldrake; His brothers George & wife Helen of FL, Gerard and Margaret of Fremont Center, and a sister Alice McCarthy of Wappinger Falls; grandchildren: Gina, John lll, Bruno, Brittany, Sara, Clarence Jr & wife Amy, Jonathan, Daniel, Jonah, Sabrina & husband Peter, Ashley, William Jr, Zachary, Emily, John, Jasmine, Josephine, Jenna, Nicholas, & Onamarie; 4 great-grandchildren & 3 on the way. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 11am to 12noon at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
