Godley, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday October 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 92 years of age. Born on Feb. 13, 1925 in Beaufort County, NC, he was the son of the late Isaac and Eva Leggett Godley. Willie was a retired auto mechanic for A-Z Motors in Monticello, NY. Willie was an accomplished handyman in his spare time. He could fix anything from autos to trucks to everything around the house including carpentry. He will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his son, Reggie Godley of Liberty, NY; daughters, Hattie Higgins (Anthony) and Eva Godley, both of Monticello, NY; brothers, Corn Wallace Godley of Greenville, NC, Robert Lee Godley of Baltimore MD and Walter Reilly Godley of NC; sisters, Corena Boyd, Beula Lee Mobley, Willie Cleve Manning and Minnie Frank all of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Willie was predeceased by his wife, Mary Crandall Godley, sons, Willie Godley Jr, Donnie Godley and Lawrence Godley and a grandson, Omar Godley. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Rd. Monticello, NY. Funeral services will be at the church at 11 AM. Bishop Thomas E. Ward Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello, NY. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Ramsay's Funeral Homes Inc. Monticello, NY.
