Obituary of Robert L Maurelli

Robert L. Maurelli, of Hurleyville, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing. He was 65. He was the son of the late Modesti Maurelli and Virginia Piazza born on July 7, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY. Robert was a person that had kept to himself. Working through his illnesses he had shown a thirst for life. Always holding his pains so close and never showing his younger sister or his brothers his real need of their support. He loved his family and loved to come to family events. He was the 2nd child of 4, recently losing his mother that succumbed to her own illness battles. It is good that they are once again reunited. Modesty-Virginia and Robert. Together as one with God our almighty. Robert was not one that would infringe on another, he would rather do without than ask for help. He was a man with strong values, stronger values than his body could support. He leaves behind his older brother Michael, younger brother Steven, and the youngest of his siblings, his sister Lillianne. Robert was the uncle of Brittany, Samantha and Michael who he cared so much about. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 4th at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ at 1pm.
