Obituary of Catherine Veronica Haynes

Catherine Veronica Haynes of White Lake, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018. She was 92.

She was the daughter of Josephine Earhardt born on December 19, 1925 in New York, NY.

Catherine worked at the New York Coliseum in New York City, then in 1965 she moved upstate with her husband James. She was a past writer for the Sullivan County Democrat. She was also a member and communicant of St. Peter's Church. Over the years she fell in love with caring for horses and founded the Whispering Wind Morgans, she was also a member of American Morgan Horse Association.

She is survived by her son James E. Haynes and his wife Susan; daughter Susan Haynes; grandchildren James and his wife Diedra and Neal Haynes; as well as her great-grandchild Emily Shannon. She is predeceased by her husband James.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, July 7th at St. Peter's Church 10 Liberty Street Monticello, NY 12701. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery Bethel, NY.
