Obituary of Jacqueline E. Harris

Home: Liberty, New York USA Place of Birth: Liberty, New York USA Obituary Jacqueline E. Harris Liberty, NY Jacqueline "Jackie" Harris, a lifelong Liberty resident, passed away on April 25, 2016 in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 93. Jackie was born on December 25, 1922 in Liberty to the late Henry and Dorothy Roes Eichenauer. She was one of eleven children. Jackie had moved to Richmond, VA to be with her son following the death of her husband, Bernie. Jackie and her late husband Bernie were the owners of 3-B Dry Cleaners in Liberty, NY. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Liberty and was an avid golfer and longtime member of Sullivan County Golf & Country Club where she won numerous club championships. The ladies league at the golf club has been renamed the Jackie Harris Memorial Ladies League in her honor. One of the highlights of her championships was when she had a double eagle in successive rounds. She was also a NY Yankee fan. Jackie had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her son Bernard Harris and his wife, Katherine; granddaughters Tiffany Harris and Dr. Heather Harris Wright; great-granddaughter Haley Wright; brothers, Richard Eichenauer and Charles Eichenauer and innumerable nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her twin Jackson and by her other siblings, George, Harry, Robert, Lillian, Elizabeth, Emma and Ruth. A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 12, 2016 at 2 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 Chestnut St., Liberty, NY. Rev. Johanna Andritz will officiate.
