Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Radzieski

Home: White Lake, New York USA Place of Birth: , Germany Obituary Elizabeth Ann Radzieski White Lake, NY Elizabeth Ann Radzieski, age 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 13, 2016 at her home. Elizabeth was born on June 12, 1920 in Germany and immigrated to this country at the age of 5. She was the daughter of the late John Sheehan and Paula Sadler-Zollar Sheehan. She married Vincent Radzieski on Dec. 28, 1941 and they were separated while he served his country in Europe during WW II, until his return in Dec. 1945. They then moved to White Lake to raise their family. Elizabeth worked in factories during the war and was a housewife, mother and school bus driver. In the 1950's, she taught religious instruction in her home, was a member of the Bethel Catholic Club, the White Lake Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was treasurer for the White Lake Fire Company Commissioners. Elizabeth was Past-President of Sullivan County ARC and served on the board for 45 years. Elizabeth also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and her flower garden. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 50 years, Vincent Radzieski, in 1991 and by her step-brother, John Sheehan. Survivors include her sons, Vincent V. Radzieski and wife Valerie of Alpharetta, GA and Anthony J. Radzieski of White Lake; daughters, Paula Barber and husband Harold of White Lake, NY, Rosa-Leah Leek and husband Raymond of Beaufort, SC and Michelena Mangan and husband Gerow of Liberty, NY; eight grandchildren, Melissa Meyers and husband Mark, Nicola Kramer and husband Mark, Harold G. Barber and wife Shannon, Vincent A. Barber and wife Katie, Scott V. Leek and wife Jessica, Georgeanna B. Mills and husband Thomas, Erin A. Allen and fiancé Patrick and Donald F. Allen and wife Mackenzie; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Brayden and Britain Meyers, Griffin and Elliott Kramer, Skylar and Stacia Barber, Haylie and Nathan Barber, Aiden Leek, Cory Mills, Kaydence, Kameron and Kahlleigh Everitt and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday March 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Elizabeth's funeral mass will be at St. Joseph's Church in Mongaup Valley on Friday, March 18 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel, NY.
