Frederick E. Vaile, AKA "Fred" and "Bug" passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 72. He was the son of the late Frederick W. Vail and Elsie Perry, born on July 17, 1950, in Centerville, NY. Fred was a self-employed contractor that enjoyed hunting and fishing. On his free time, he like to work on cars, especially with is grandson. He was the true definition of a family man; he loved spending as much time as possible with his family. He liked cooking and sampling the food around him from someone else's cooking. If you knew Fred, you knew he was a jokester. His sense of humor will truly be missed by everyone that knew and loved him. He leaves behind his children Melody Morris and her husband Craig, Shannon Washburn, Ashley Haag, and her husband Karl "Rudy", Terri-Lyn Castillo and her husband Jereme, Frederick Vaile III., and Dakota Vaile, his companion Leanna Bolster, his grandchildren Willie (Lisa), Fred, Shane (Erica), Shawn (Elena), Daniel (Amanda), Amanda, Craig Jr., Tati, and Mark, 19 great grandchildren, his sibling Eldonia, Richard "Doc", and Franny, and his dear friend, Bill Barlow and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 13 years Jean Vaile, and his ex-wife Sarah Vail, his siblings Katherine "Dewy", and David, his brother and sisters-in-law Janet, Eddy, Chuck, Cheryl, Camey, Keith, Christine and Richard, and mother-in-law, Edna Boyles. Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm.
