Obituary of Jamie Marie Edwards

Jamie Marie Edwards, of Grahamsville, passed away suddenly on September 30, 2022.  She was 33 years old.  

Jamie was born on August 4, 1989 in Harris, NY to Shawn T. Edwards and Casey Dawn Stewart Edwards.  She was employed at New Hope Community as a Direct Support Professional; caring for others was something she deeply enjoyed.  Jamie was an adventurous, fun-loving spontaneous person who lived life to the fullest and took pride in bettering herself every day.  She loved to have a good time, and enjoyed family gatherings.  Although she joked that cooking was not her strong suit, she loved cookouts and time spent around the table with her friends and family. She was known to be a bit of a goofball, but she was able to bring a smile to your face with her sense of humor.  She loved panda bears, and was a tough strong “mama bear” herself when it came to the people she cared about.  

Jamie leaves behind her parents, Shawn and Dawn Edwards; her children, Sophia, Lilliani “Lilly”, and William; Wiliams’ father, Howard Stickle who was Jamie’s fiance; her siblings, Jodi Revell and her husband Jeff, her brother Shawn William Edwards; her brother-in-law Robert Cothren; her uncle Hank Hannold, aunt Darlene Curry; her nieces and nephews, Robby, Jacob, Zachary, Serenity, and Annabella; her dear friend of 25 years, Ashley “Ashy” VanAken; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents and her uncle Bradley Wornuth. 

A visitation will take place on Thursday, October 6, from 1-3 pm, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne, with a memorial service at 3 pm. Interment will take place at the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Route 55, Grahamsville.
