Obituary of Mary T. Stubits

Mary T. Stubits, of Liberty, passed away on April 2, 2022 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 95.

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Grabarits) Teklits, born on February 1, 1927 in Northhampton, Pennsylvania.

Mary loved making her house a home for her family, she enjoyed cooking and caring for the ones she loved. She was a devoted Catholic and was a member of the Alter Society as well as Catholic Daughters. In her free time she loved being outside taking walks and getting some fresh air. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her children John Stubits (Susan), Michael and Elizabeth Stubits; grandchildren, Barbara Merton (Greg Merton), Elizabeth Stubits (Mike Merton), Jeffrey Stubits, Amy Lico (Joe Lico); great-grandchildren Melanie Merton and Joey Merton; cousins Richard Filipovits (Diana Filipovits), Steven Geider (Johanna Geider) as well as her niece Rita M. Teklits Malsam. She now joins in Heaven her husband Frank S. Stubits who passed away on August 5, 2010; her siblings Frank Teklits, Rose Geider and Angie Filipovits;

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 10am to 11:30am at Colonial-Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 S. Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12pm on Friday at St. Peter's Church, 264 N. Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, NY. Friends and family may call after the Cemetery at the residence of John and Susan Stubits at 212 Shore Road, White Sulphur Springs.
