Nathaniel Patt, Jr., of Monticello, NY, entered into eternal rest on April 29, 2021. He was 84 years old.

 

Nathaniel was born on September 9, 1936 to Nathaniel Patt, Sr. and Mollie Bennett in Bay Minette, Alabama. During his school years he was very athletic, and he remained an avid sports fan his entire life. A talented cook, Nathaniel was employed as a chef in various restaurants. He enjoyed gardening in his leisure time. Affectionately known as "Poppy," Nathaniel was the rock of the family. He always made time for his loved ones, and was a big brother to all of his in-laws. He was a very important part of his family's life and dear to all who knew him.

 

Nathaniel is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, whom he married on June 9, 1963; his four sons, Elvin and his wife Rosie of the Bronx, NY, Ron and his wife Rebecca of Woodridge, NY, Pat and his wife Leni of New Jersey, and Christopher and his wife LeShaun of the Bronx, NY; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Fannie and her husband Jessie, Ann and her husband Jimmie, Jimmy and his wife Barbara, Roosevelt, and Tommie; his nephews, Danny and Tim Patt and Alfred Ulmer; his niece, Clara Webb; his great-niece, Keica Henry and her husband Wilbert; long time friend, Russell Pruitt; several other nieces and nephews, many grandchildren, Godchildren and a host of friends. He is predeceased by one brother and one sister.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm with a 1 pm service at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 55 St. John Street, Monticello, NY, followed by interment at Rock Ridge Cemetery. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect; masks must be worn at all times.
