It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian "Rusty" Tennenbaum on December 24, 2020 at the age of 92.

Rusty was born April 15, 1928, in West Palm Beach Florida to Nathan and Dorothy Schocoff.

She was married to the love of her life, Norman Tennenbaum for 59 years before his passing in 2006. Rusty was outgoing, had a fireball personality and she was always able to keep everyone laughing and entertained or put them in their place when she felt it was needed. Rusty acquired her nickname for her beautiful red hair. She was also known by her children for her skills in the kitchen, and her love of golf. Nothing was more important to her than family and once she decided you were part of hers, whether it be by blood, marriage, or friendship, you remained her family for life.

Rusty is preceded in death by her husband Norman and her three daughters Nancy Tennenbaum, Wendy Cypert, and Sharon Haight. She is survived by her children Steve Tennenbaum (Elise) of Carrollton, Texas, and Bruce Tennenbaum (Noreen) of Tucson, Arizona. Rusty is also survived by her son-in-laws and daughter in law; Larry Haight, Ralph Wardynski, and Dave and Muriel Cypert who showed her constant love and support throughout her life. Additionally, Rusty is remembered by eight grandchildren: Tami Kelly (Scott), who was notably close to Rusty and meant the world to her. Tami never left her side even in her final days. Matthew Haight (Debbie), Brian Haight (Robin), Justin and Jason Tennenbaum, Joshua (Bri), Caleb, and Tatum Tennenbaum, and six great-grandchildren whom Rusty loved very much.

Funeral and burial will be held on December 27 at 1pm at Ezrath Israel Cemetery Route 209 Wawarsing, NY. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of Lillian's life will be held in June.
