Shirley J. Beach, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 85. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Wells and Beronic Webster, born on March 6, 1935 in Albany, NY. Shirley focused her life on her family, there was nothing more important to her than making sure that her family had a warm home, with good food and knew that they were loved. Being a grandmother was her favorite job, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Stephen, Patrick (Yvette), Thomas (Jackie), Pam, William (Jill), Paul (Connie), Robert (June), Penny, Jeff (Brooke) and Betty-Jo Travis (Tim); daughter-in-law Penny; twenty-nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her sister Patricia; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her devoted husband Claude Beach, Sr.; children David and Claude, Jr.; as well as sisters Joan, Dora, Constance, Lois and Dorothy. Donations in Shirley's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A visitation will be held from 7 to 9pm on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
