Obituary of Lester Drake

Lester F. Drake, of Hurleyville, passed away at home on September 8, 2020. He was 66 years old.

Lester was born in Newton, NJ on July 13, 1954, to Lester Drake, Sr. and Shirley Poyer.  

He was a hard worker who was employed in the auto industry as a mechanic at Mr. Bill’s Auto Repair in Warwick. He enjoyed music and a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, taking motorcycle rides, and cutting wood. 

Lester is survived by his mother, Shirley Poyer Dean, his brother Joe and his wife JoAnn, his sister, Charlene Watson, many aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews, his great-niece, and many cousins.  He is predeceased by his father, Lester Drake, Sr., his step-father, Lowell Dean, and his sister, Lorraine Drake.  

Visitation will be held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, Woodbourne, on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 12-2 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 2 p.m.  Social distancing guidelines set forth by the New York State Department of Health will be in place; facemasks are required at all times.
