Obituary of Dysheik M. Dowden

Please share a memory of Dysheik to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dysheik Markeem Dowden a.k.a. "Sheiky" was born March 22, 1998 in Harris, NY to Star-Lite Jacobs and Clarence Dowden. He was raised in Hampton Virginia and Monticello, New York. He attended and received his high school diploma from Monticello High School.

As a child, Dysheik had many talents. He had such a passion for poetry. He even inspired his friends to start writing as well. Long boarding and drawing were also some of his many hobbies that he enjoyed. He will always be remembered for his loud bodacious laugh and warm smile. His ability to comfort anyone in their time of need was truly a gift. His legacy will live on through his beautiful son, Alec, family and friends.

Dysheik is survived by his loving parents Star-Lite Jacobs and Clarence Dowden; his baby boy Alec Dowden; and his siblings: Xavier King, Najaé Dowden, Jazz'a Jacobs, Zariyah Dowden, Zamir Dowden, London Dowden, Tristan Watson, Amar Watson, Chase Dowden and Jonas Abraham Jr., he also leaves his grandmothers Deborah Jacobs and Georgia Dowden; his step-mother Diane King; his nephew Onyx Dowden; uncles Tqun Jacobs, Derek Jacobs, William Dowden and Derrick Jacobs; his aunts Sadé Bien-aise and Renee Jacobs; as well as the Tanco Family, a slew of cousins and his best friends who were like brothers to him until the very end. Dysheik was preceded in death by his aunt, Edicia Dowden.

Sheiky will always have a special place in our hearts. He will forever be missed and his legacy and memory will always live on through us. May He Rest In Peace.
