Alberto “Kookie” Rivera, of Livingston Manor passed away at home with his family on November 23, 2015. He was 67 years old. He was born on October 31, 1948 in San Germán, Puerto Rico, to Carmelo and Cesarina Ramos Rivera. He will be dearly missed. Alberto worked as a maintenance and construction worker in New York City with the Local 32B. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be lovingly missed by his devoted wife of 37 years, Daisy Rivera. Alberto leaves behind his caring wife Daisy. Three brothers; Jose, Roberto, and Benjamin Rivera. Three sisters; Leida Grieze, Elba Santos, and Nancy Roa. He will now join his daughter Valorie and brother Monserate “Jr.” Rivera in the embrace of our Lord in heaven. A visitation will be held at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor NY 12758, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, November 25. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, November 27 at 10 am at the funeral home. An interment will follow at Saint Aloysius Cemetery in Livingston Manor.
