The son of the late Henry and Gladys Laken Cubbon, he was born on September 1, 1939 in Hackensack, NJ. William was a security guard for Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis, NY. He was a former member of the Mechanicstown Fire Dept. ( Town of Wallkill), an avid bowler, softball player and Little League Coach. Survivors include his companion, Dorothy "Midge" Newkirk at home; daughters, Julie Cole (Elvan) of Milwaukee, WI and Debra Fitzgerald (Patrick) of Fenton, MO; stepdaughters, Donna Lynch (John) of Shohola, PA, Diane Walling (David) of Liberty, Debbie Suzel of New York and Ruth Jones of Hurleyville, NY; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call today, Thursday June 20, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
