Home: Liberty, New York USA Place of Birth: Obernburg, New York USA Obituary Ida Watson Liberty, NY Ida Watson, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away peacefully on Monday January 5, 2015 at Roscoe Regional Rehab & Health Care Facility. She was 99 - just 4 months shy of her 100th birthday. The daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Sator Brustman , she was born on May 4, 1915 in Obernburg, NY. Ida and her husband, George, operated Watson's Luncheonette in Liberty for many years. Ida was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Obernburg and was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Altar Society. She was also a 65-year member and Grand Regent of Court Mary Anthony #883 Catholic Daughters of America. Ida is survived by her daughter, Barbara Watson of Youngsville; granddaughter, Jenny Winch of Wilmington, NY; brother, Clarence Brustman of East Haven, CT; sisters-in-law, Anne Gabrielson of Liberty, NY, Theresa Delemarre of Hawthorne, NY, Catherine Watson of Green Valley, AZ, Ruth Watson and Helen Brustman, both of Liberty, Yvonne Brustman of Waymart, PA, and Rita Brustman of East Haven, CT and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George Watson; her brothers, Frederick, William, George and Joseph Brustman and her sisters, Barbara Coger, Marie Mannion and Catherine Whatley. Friends may call on Friday January 9, 2015 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Court Mary Anthony #883 Catholic Daughter of American will hold services at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday January 10 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church in Obernburg, NY. Father George E. Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
