Obituary of Kathleen Gordon

Home: Monticello, New York USA Place of Birth: Trinidad-Tobago, Trinidad Obituary Kathleen Andrea Gordon Monticello, NY Kathleen Andrea Gordon began her life on December 21, 1949 in Arima of Trinidad and Tobago. She was the fourth child of twelve children to Feddy Cummings and Eutrice James. She went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 3, 2015 in the company of family and friends. Kathleen was educated at Allen's Business School. As a business entrepreneur, she was well-known for her food catering and pastries and was an excellent seamstress. She gave her life to the Lord as a young woman and became a member at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Arima, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Her fervent faithfulness to God caused her to be steadfast in her Christian beliefs. Even on her dying bed, she was a pray warrior. Kathleen loved to travel as often as possible. She migrated to Canada and was a resident for three pleasurable years; she then relocated, and permanently made her home in the United States for fifteen years. She was also a good hostess, who cooked and loved to party. With her contagious laughs and joyousness, she had a good time with her friends and family. She was very comical and exhibited a loving and charismatic persona; it was the most outstanding characteristic about her. Her children were her greatest love: Sharleen Cummings and Pauline Haynes, her daughters and her son, Shirvan Cummings (deceased). Sharleen followed in her mother's footsteps and took over the great culinary skills and currently is a food caterer; Pauline successfully obtained a home with the help of her husband Irving Hayes, who is also Kathleen's favored son-in-law. Shirvan, a smooth talker, a loving son to his mother, successfully completed Arima Senior Comprehensive. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2004 at the age of 27. In 1966, Kathleen met her loving husband, Victor Gordon, and got married on May 9, 1997. They were ceremoniously married at Bethel Pentecostal in Arima, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and have since celebrated eighteen years of marital bliss. In July 2008, Kathleen's health began to decline. Victor facilitated in making sure the she received the best clinical care possible. Together they had one child, Pauline Haynes. Kathleen was blessed to have enjoyed her grandchildren: Sharlon, Neisa, Kenisha, Kyle and Qudir and great-grandchildren, Tishon and Erika. She left behind her husband, Victor; four brothers, Errol, Michael, Earl and Martinez; six sisters, Angela, Rachel, Lucy, Agnes, Eathel and Charmaine; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also left behind 27 nieces and nephews, a bunch of great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins of the Cummings,Bobb's and Desouze's family and her best friends, Ann Marie, Maureen, Grace, Fredrickah, Portia, Joan, and friends and family of many. We surely cherished the moments we had with her.
