Obituary of Carol Denman

Home: Grahamsville, New York USA Place of Birth: Staten Island, New York USA Obituary Carol Denman Grahamsville, NY Carol Denman, 85, of Grahamsville, passed away at Albany Medical Center on November 8, 2014 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Staten Island in 1929, the daughter of Howard and Katharine Johnson. She worked as a secretary for the construction company building the Roundout Reservoir, later as a receptionist at the Ellenville Hospital and as secretary to the president of Sullivan County Community College. She was a longtime volunteer at the Daniel Pierce Library. Carol was a parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Church in Woodbourne, NY. She was a woman of great faith and prayed committedly for loved ones and for the needs of others. She was an artist who took great joy in sharing her talent by giving much of it as gifts to loved ones and friends. She worked with pressed flowers, ink drawings, oil and water colors. She was one of the kindest and most gentle persons in the world and will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Paul W. Denman. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret and Barbara; sons, Richard, James, Michael and Patrick; daughters-in-law, Helen, Lynn, Laura, Kathlene and Diane; beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Jaxon, Kyle, Wyatt, Rebecca, Robert, Erin, Krista and great-granddaughter, Gianna. Memorial services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Woodbourne, NY on Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery in Grahamsville. A catered gathering of friends and family will follow to celebrate her life at Daniel Pierce Library in Grahamsville, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramsay's Funeral Homes Inc.
