Obituary of Thomas Frank Doughty

Home: Paris, Tennessee USA Place of Birth: Livingston Manor, New York USA Thomas Frank Doughty Paris, Tennessee formerly of Parksville, NY. Thomas Frank Doughty, 64, of Paris, Tennessee died on Saturday June 1, 2013 at his home. He was the son of the late Clarence Irvin Doughty and Helen Anna Husch Doughty and was born on September 4, 1948 in Livingston Manor, NY. Thomas was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator for 34 years for the Town of Liberty, NY. A Vietnam War Veteran, he received the Purple Heart, The Bronze Star with Valor; the Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Combat Infantryman Badge; Marksmanship Badge and President Accommodation Medal. He was also a member of the VFW. He is survived by his wife, Janice Jean LaBaw Doughty, at home; a son, Chad (Tiffany) Doughty of Huntington, WV; two stepdaughters, Bobbi (Mark) Macor of Duluth, MN and Lori Ann Barker of Puryear, TN; three stepsons, Patrick Barker of Horn Lake, MS, Paul Barker of Hackensack, NJ and George Scott (Sandra) Barker of Long Island, NY; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many friends and cousins, especially Kenneth W. (Ann) Bivins of Neversink, NY and James (Jane) Doughty of Youngsville, NY. Burial of Thomas' ashes will take place on Thursday July 18, 2013 at 1PM at Lew Beach Cemetery in Lew Beach, NY.
